Additional Comments and News

Mystic Blue Eyes GF is an imported German Warmblood Stallion, bred at Gestut Falkenhorst, one of the premier breeding farms in Germany. He was branded and inspected in Germany before he was imported, and he is registered with ZfPD.

His sire is Morgengold II, one of only 6 approved German Warmblood Palomino stallions worldwide, and his great grandsire is the famous Dressage sire Marduc (Trakehner). He is out of the Hungarian Palomino Mare, Novella.

Mystic Blue Eyes is a 16.1 hand Cremello that is guaranteed to produce palominos on sorrel and chestnut mares and will produce palomino or buckskin on any other color with the exception of gray mares. His unique color is second only to his great conformation, good bone, legs and feet, movement, athletic ability, the best mind and disposition, and extreme rideability.

News & Show Results

Harley's son "Gentleman Jack" has an impressive USEA show record for 2018/2019! He was Top 5 in all of his USEA sanctioned Novice level events in 2018 and 2019 at some of the toughest, most well respected events in the country. Culminating with the Championships, he was tied for 4th at the close of dressage, but had some minor time faults and a rail to finish 9th. Southern Pines, Vermont International, and LongLeaf Horse Trials results include a 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, 4th place, and 5th. Always clean on time, always clean and brave on cross country, and dressage scores usually in the mid twenties.

Typical of Most Harley babies, he's a nice mover with good brain that is super consistent for his amateur owner. Most important his amateur owner did it with a smile the whole time!

December, 2013 - MW Sunshine and MW Wheaten, both by our stallion Mystic Blue Eyes GF, have been sold and are heading to Cuernavaca, Mexico. Both horses were inspected, purchased and will be exported by new owner Juan to live in an equestrian resort headed by a British Olympic instructor.

We wish them all the best in their future endeavors and we look forward to watching their progress under such capable care and the expert eye and intuition of their new owner.

In 2013 Harley won the Stone Place Mini Trial with owner Kim Smith, on his dressage score of 26.9.

Also in 2013, he was 2nd in the Black Horse Combined Test with Kim riding, 2nd in the Flying Cross Mini-Trial, and 2nd in the Spring Run Mini-Trial.

Kim says, "We are still just doing baby starter, as I'm only riding every now and again. Not moving up until I can get some regular lessons, but I'm jumping most of the starter jumps and cantering the dressage. I'm having so much fun; he is such a sweet packer, and all throughout the breeding season! What a gem I am so lucky to have!"

Here's a note from an amateur owner of a gelding by Harley, "Thought you might like to know that Samson (I show him with his registerd name, Edged In Black) was Champion in his green hunter division at the 2012 IHJA annual show this past weekend. A friend took a picture of him that I will attach. He is so much like Harley, laid back and a real lover!" - Jim

2011 News & Show Results

"Harley" is currently in training at Moserwood Farm and showed in his first sanctioned event at Mayfest (May-Daze) Horse Trials, Kentucky Horse Park, May 27th-29th, 2011. He was super in all 3 phases with Erin Buttigieg in the tack, finishing 7th out of more than 20 horses and ONE rail from 3rd place! Best of all he behaved all weekend like a gelding trail horse. He is actively standing stud this spring between his shows.

Harley's next event was the Spring Run Horse Trials, June 10th-12th, 2011. He finished 2nd of 20 in the Open Beginner Novice division, ridden by Erin Buttigieg.
